Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder

Telehealth Maine is here to treat individuals that are ready to conquer their opiate addiction. RITA is intended for patients that are considered low risk for addiction complications and overdose. High risk-patients would benefit from higher levels of care such as in-person office based treatment, intensive out-patient treatment, or in-patient (hospital based) treatment for detox or rehabilitation. As with all recovery programs, counseling is strongly encouraged.
Costs are $79 per visit and visit frequency depends on successful remission and medication effectiveness. Minimum visit frequency will be once monthly, but may be as frequent as once weekly. Labs will be monitored at facilities local to you. Insurance is not accepted and Medicare/Medicaid beneficiaries are not accepted at this time due to federal restrictions (this will soon be changing).
Who Qualifies?
Home based medication assisted treatment with buprenorphine products is safest for those who are already using illicitly obtained buprenorphine products, small amounts of illicit opiates or who have already started to taper successfully but are struggling with cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
Safety First
If you or your loved one are heavily dependent on high-doses or frequent doses of heroin or fentanyl, an in-patient detoxification will be strongly recommended. Please see the resources below for Maine supports.
