Firefighter Health & Exposure Program
Specialized preventive care designed specifically for Maine firefighters.
Firefighters face unique occupational health risks that are often overlooked in traditional medical visits. This program is built around the realities of the fire service, not a generic physical.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Led by Lauren Jellison, FNP
Lauren has dedicated her clinical and academic work to firefighter health. She studied firefighter cancer risk during her master’s program at the University of Maine, completed a research-based capstone on cancer in the fire service, and has presented on firefighter health risks across Maine. She’s also married to a firefighter, so this work is personal.
