What services does Telehealth Maine offer for virtual care?

Telehealth Maine and Hermon Health and Wellness offer virtual visits for urgent care (sick visits), medical weight loss treatment, primary care bridging (if appropriate), hormone evaluations and other non-urgent medical care conditions that are not being addressed elsewhere. Patients must reside in Maine or Florida at this time.

In our Hermon location, we are providing medical and aesthetic services. We can provide treatment when sick, management of acute and chronic illnesses, medical weight loss, hormone replacement therapy (also available virtually in most cases), and primary care bridge services. Aesthetics offered include neurotoxins (“Botox”) and dermal fillers.

Do you have a cough or cold that’s lasted more than a week? A new rash? An insect bite that looks like it may be infected? A positive covid test at home? Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea? Possible ear infection or conjunctivitis? Symptoms of a UTI or yeast infection? Most things like this can be appropriately handled virtually, and treatment can be offered. If treatment is not effectively improving the symptoms, then an in-person visit with your primary care provider, a walk-in clinic, or the ER would be warranted.

You can easily request an appointment at a time convenient for you, right through the link at the top and bottom of this page. If you are having difficulties or are not finding something that fits your need please send us a message in the “contact us” section. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

There are several formulations of oral weight loss medications, and they often include a combination of two or more medications. Some of the formulations include bupropion, naltrexone, topiramate, methylcobalamin, phentermine, metformin, etc. You may have heard of common brand names of the medications, including Contrave, Qsymia, and  Adipex. During your initial visit, we’ll discuss what may be safe and appropriate for you.

No, but a superbill can be provided. For urgent care visits, your prescription can be sent to the pharmacy of your choice, and for this, you may use insurance if desired.

A BMI over 30, or a BMI of 27 with other obesity related condition (including sleep apnea, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, chronic pain in weight-bearing joints, etc).

We are not considered a primary care clinic; however, due to the significant shortages and long wait lists, we are able to help provide temporary “bridge” services to ensure your healthcare needs are being met. With this, we can provide preventative care, order necessary diagnostic tests (mammograms, colonoscopies, etc), and manage acute illnesses via our self-pay model.

Some programs and conditions do require routine labs to be drawn. We can provide an order for labs to be drawn at your preferred location and with your insurance benefits, or you may utilize our self-pay in-house lab services, which are offered through Access Medical Labs.
